Job Description

We are currently looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical and Healthcare College.

Hours of work: 15 - 20 hours per week (3 - 4 hours a day) evenings. Either 3:30pm or 4:30 pm start x 40 weeks per year (Term time, plus inset days and 1 week to be worked in the summer holiday)

The Cleaning Supervisor will direct and supervise a team of cleaning assistants to ensure a comprehensive cleaning service is provided in compliance with; campus standards, procedures and practices and Health & Safety regulations. They will be responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of cleaning materials, ensuring products are stored, replenished and ordered as required. They will manage the teams attendance and absence, ensuring the appropriate number of staff are available to deliver the service. Arranging cover for sickness and annual leave alongside conducting regular performance reviews as directed.

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate some cleaning experience within a commercial cleaning environment and some experience of supervising or leading staff. Alongside this you will have; good organisational skills, the ability to manage your own and others workload, have a good eye for detail and the confidence and knowledge to perform your role to the best of your ability.

Salary calculated in line with NJC Grade C Pay scale, point 5 - 7 24,790 - 25,584 per annual. Actual salary: 15 hours = 8,878 - 9162 pro-rated, 20 hours = 11,837 - 12,216 pro-rated
