Cleanroom Production Supervisor Double Day Shift

Job Description


The ONE Group are supporting a manufacturing company in Huntingdon and are recruiting for a Cleanroom Production Supervisor.

This is a Double Day shift and you will work alternating shifts of:

Early: Monday - Friday (5.45am - 2.15pm)
Late: Monday - Friday (1.45pm - 10.15pm)

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, your role will be to create and oversee production schedules and activities and monitor Health & Safety within the shift you lead

What else is required?

  • Take the lead in managing, motivating, and directing the Production team through their daily tasks
  • Plan and coordinate resources, raw materials and staff to ensure production is carried out effectively
  • Monitor and review the team\'s capability, ensuring clear focus on key objectives and ensure individuals are developed to maximise their potential
  • Ensure the shift is fully staffed and the team are trained to complete work to the required standard
  • Liaise with maintenance to ensure all equipment is working efficiently
  • Update and analyse daily KPI metrics
  • Report any deviations, complete action plans and investigate the root cause
  • Challenge and review processes and procedures, exploring and suggesting continuous improvement techniques to reduce cost whilst maintaining quality and safety
  • Carry out briefings/meetings with team members on their weekly and monthly performance
  • Apply continuous development by conducting regular reviews and appraisals, setting targets for achievement and taking action if performance falls below the minimum
  • Help with the staff recruitment process
  • Complete audits to ensure all procedures are being adhered to and any non-conformances investigated
This role requires an excellent communicator who knows how to manage the balance between output, equipment and people challenges. You should be able to work under pressure and deliver a consistent approach across the team.

What else do you need to apply?
  • Hands-on experience in a cleanroom, or similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading a team and planning volume manufacturing schedules
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage individuals with varying skill levels
  • Understanding of GMP
  • Good IT skills
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent at solving problems and finding solutions
