As a Clerk of Works within our Quality, Safety, Health and Environment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. You will act as the eyes and ears on site, providing impartial inspections and reporting to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with specifications, regulations, and best practice.

This role will work closely with Project Managers, Building Surveyors, and Fire Engineers/Safety Consultants to ensure a joined-up approach to risk mitigation and quality assurance across Hollis projects.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, workmanship, and adherence to specifications. Identify and report defects, non-compliance, and health & safety risks, ensuring timely resolution. Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure CDM and H&S obligations are met. Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions. Collaborate with Building Surveyors and Project Managers to ensure design intent is realised on site. Provide technical input during pre-construction and construction phases. Assist in the development of internal quality assurance protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Proven experience in a Clerk of Works or site inspection role, ideally within a consultancy environment. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Demonstrable experience in fabric inspection and fire safety compliance, including familiarity with passive fire protection systems and fire stopping. Working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and Health & Safety legislation. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and impartially. Relevant qualifications (e.g. ICWCI membership, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, HNC/HND in Construction or similar).
