Clerk of Works

(Fixed Term Contract February 2026- August 2026)

EVH Grade TAS 7 - 40,635-44,619 pro-rata

(Pay award pending on 1 April 2026)

7-14 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Clerk of Works to manage construction and maintenance works to the common property and tenants' homes in accordance with contract drawings, specifications building regulations and quality standards.

(The Association will consider either a direct, self employment or secondment arrangement to fill the post.)

Easthall Park Housing Association is situated in the north-east of Glasgow in Easterhouse and we own and manage 750 properties of mixed stock type.

The Association will shortly embark on the installation of Windoor Verandas to the front and rear elevations of 42 properties (7 closes), as well as the planned major repair works to install new kitchens and UPVC windows and doors in this contract.

We may also require the appointed Clerk of Works to support the Maintenance function to attend to pre-post inspections of re-active, cyclical and planned major repairs, and void properties, and to survey properties to update our stock condition database. We understand these surveys and inspections will be based on the scope of the contract working hours.

Details of the Post:

The successful candidate should possess an HNC in building, technical or construction, or relevant industry experience.

You should have experience as a Clerk of Works or a similar role and possess excellent working knowledge of building standards and current regulations and experience in working with contractors to ensure the delivery of high quality standards to meet the requirements of this post. You should have a good knowledge of current Health & Safety.

You should be able to work with minimal supervision, be able to plan and prioritise your work and be highly motivated to excel in the role to meet deadlines. You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer focused and have a driving licence. You should be conscientious; have a pleasant friendly manner; and be flexible in your approach to work.
