We have an exciting opportunity (maternity leave cover) within CANW for a Clerk to the Board of Trustees who will be at the heart of the charity providing effective PA support to our CEO and our charity Trustees. The successful candidate will be part of the senior leadership team within CANW reporting directly to the CEO.
Job roles and responsibilities:
Provide clerking services to the Board of Trustees of CANW and provide advice and support as required on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
To manage the administrative business of the Trustee, Senior and Operational Leadership meetings and to support the work of the Chief Executive, Directors and Trustees.
Act as the first point of contact for the Chair and CEO with queries on procedural matters.
Maintaining DBS status and personal details on any members of the Board of Trustees.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with the Chair and the Board
Oversee, manage and co-ordinate CANWs Business Support and Central Administrators and ensure that effective administration support and cover is provided to the business at all times.
Our perfect candidate will be a team player who will help us drive forward our ambition for growth, innovation and excellence across our service portfolio along with the following attributes:
Experience of a clerk in a Public Sector Agency or Social Enterprise/Not for Profit organisation
High level PA/Secretary experience
Experience within Document Control and Quality Assurance.

Hours are 30 - 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
Please note this is a post for maternity leave cover, beginning January 2026 for 12 months or until the return of the postholder, whichever is sooner.
