We have an excellent opportunity for a Build to Rent Portfolio Accountant to head up the financial reporting side for our Build to Rent and PRS client portfolio. The role will be based at our head office in London, not far from Oxford Circus and Bond Street stations.

The Build to Rent Portfolio Accountant is a key role within the team, primarily responsible for collecting rent on behalf of our clients and reporting key data, both financial and management to stakeholders and clients. The role will include team management, accounting for a portfolio of clients as well as taking on one off projects and assisting others as appropriate. This is a fast-paced role that would suit either qualified/part qualified or qualified by experience with a financial accounting background.

Key Tasks:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports, as well as advanced data analysis.
  • Managing the CIS process, including, handling monthly CIS returns for relevant clients.
  • Overseeing the coding of invoices against budgets and ensuring accuracy of data input on to TRAMPS.
  • Day to day management of our clients including updating bank mandates, changes in ownership, ad hoc reporting, and queries.
  • Dealing with all aspects of VAT as it relates to our clients.
  • Liaising with third parties (e.g. accountants) and clients in providing information and reports as required.
What does it take to be successful?

You will have ideally gained experience in a Client Services Accounting role within the property sector, with a detailed understanding of the RICS regulations with regards to client money management. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to multitask and liaise with different stakeholders, clients and third parties, as well as the ability to work with multiple agencies on complex marketing campaigns. You will be a quick learner with excellent organisation skills, who focuses on attention to detail and accuracy, along with advanced Excel knowledge. It is key that the successful candidate has a thorough understanding of leases and the rental sector, and the importance of adhering to legislation. This role would suit a multitasker who is used to working with a portfolio of clients. Hours Full time
