Eastcott Veterinary Referral Hospital are recruiting for a full-time permanent Client Accounts Administrator. The purpose of this position is to serve as a support function to the Management Team by minimising Practice debt (to target levels agreed with the Senior Leadership Team), by ensuring a prompt payment process and proactive pursuit of outstanding debts, including the use of third party agencies where appropriate.
This will be achieved through keeping accurate records, and completing various administration duties related to debt control. The Credit Controller should remain calm, courteous and professional at all times.
This position requires a practical knowledge of the practice's organisation and services; the basic rules and regulations governing Practice; accuracy in transcribing information/messages and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the practice.
Raise invoices in the event of non-payment and manage the debt collection process, ensuring accurate and timely production of administrative delegated tasks, ensuring GDPR compliance at all times .
Work closely with the client care team to action any client queries relating to accounts.
Collaborate with the Insurance department to ensure that insurance related debts, including outstanding excesses, are clarified and minimised.
Manage instalment payments with clients.
Be pro-active regarding aging debt, referring cases to third party agencies and monitoring the efficiency of this process.
Ensure that prompt payment processes are in place and running correctly, including pro-active pursuit of outstanding debts; including those with third party agencies.
Recommend the 'writing off' of bad debts to the Senior Leadership Team.

Credit notes
Debt Reports
VAT
Turnover by Vet
Previous experience in veterinary credit control is desirable
