The role
Clifford Chance has an aspiring global strategy which puts clients at the very heart of everything the Firm does. We have a clear mandate around developing our existing strengths and relationships whilst increasing our market share in new markets.
Our Client & Market Development function ("CMD") is pivotal in making the Firm's vision a reality. CMD works strategically with our Global Business Units - all with the same vision "to be the global law firm of choice for the world's leading businesses of today and tomorrow".
Clifford Chance's London Global Financial Markets practices ("GFM") are recognised as market leaders and work with many of the world's pre-eminent financial institutions and investors.
This role sits within the GFM CMD team in London and supports the Debt Finance group, through the delivery and project management of business development, sales support, client focus and marketing initiatives. The key product group pillars that make up the group consist of Leveraged Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Growth Markets, Fund Finance and Corporate Finance. In this role you act as an interface between product group partners, working closely with the wider Global Financial Markets ("GFM") and CMD teams to facilitate the flow of information, highlight cross-selling opportunities and deliver top quality marketing and communications materials, capability statements and pitches.

Working with Clifford Chance's London Global Financial Markets ("GFM") practices and with many of the world's pre-eminent financial institutions and investors.
This role sits within the GFM C&MD team in London and supports the Firm's Debt Finance group. In this role you will work closely with the Debt Finance partners in London as well as well as key partners across our international network.
What you will be responsible for
The Debt Finance practice is recognised as a market-leading team of lawyers, working with many of the world's pre-eminent investors, sponsors and lenders in both emerging markets and established financial centres. With primary responsibility for the team in London, this role will also involve supporting global initiatives, working with relevant CMD colleagues across the firm's global network. This role is business critical in its support to these teams and is an opportunity for a high-energy BD professional to make a huge impact within GFM and more broadly across the Firm.
This is a strategic role requiring an individual who will be able to: adopt a problem-solving approach to day-to-day support; guide others in resolving complex issues; play a key role in setting best practice and take the lead on the successful delivery of cross-border and/or cross-practice initiatives.
The successful candidate will also be expected to take an active liaison role supporting and connecting with the Firm's major initiatives, such as the firm's sector approach, key account programme and in the Private Credit space, which are all key to the Firm's strategic vision.
