The primary purpose of this role is to support the Client Contracts and Commercial Team in reviewing and negotiating client-facing contracts across the firm. This involves working closely with Associate General Counsel, Contracts Counsel and Senior Client Contracts Lawyers to ensure contract processes are efficient and well-coordinated. The role includes providing legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, such as client engagement terms, ADT terms, and Vario flex services.
The role also involves supporting contracts with third parties, ensuring all agreements are in the firm's best interests and comply with relevant regulations. This includes working closely with colleagues and business support teams to maintain effective communication and coordination across the firm. Additionally, the role focuses on continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance contract management processes and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to those responsibilities set out above:
Undertake detailed and thorough reviews of a range of different types of client-facing contracts.
Ensure that the firm operates in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and firm policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of contract management activities.
Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with client and third-party contracts, collaborating with other departments to provide comprehensive legal support where appropriate.
Providing support for ad hoc projects identified by Contract Counsel or Associate General Counsel.
Assist with the drafting and maintenance of standard terms and conditions for existing and new adjacent professional services and solutions offerings and develop playbooks and guidance notes as required.
Monitor compliance or exceptions to the firm's risk policies in relation to adjacent professional services and solutions.
Relevant experience/qualifications:
Excellent academics.
Qualified solicitor.
Relevant experience working in a risk focused environment either in private practice firm, or in-house environment.
