The Role and Team

Apetito are approaching a 6 year presence within the Education sector and now cater for over 10,000 Children daily across 200 Education Settings.

We have reached an exciting point in our journey and have invested in this exciting new role to help us take our business to the next level.

You will enhance our proposition through bringing to life our \xe2\x80\x98Passion for Service\xe2\x80\x99 value supporting existing and new customers with a clear view of keeping customers longer and enabling us to grow faster.

To our customers, the Client Development Manager (CDM) will be the face of apetito and is crucial to the success of apetito partnerships.

Responsibilities include: day-to-day account management of education settings including but not limited to; site audits to ensure compliance and quality, menu planning, budget management, customer events. Onboarding of new customers including: Training of ordering systems, food system, plate presentation etc.

As well as deliver on our \xe2\x80\x98Passion for Service\xe2\x80\x99, you will be pivotal to the retention of business and securing long term partnerships with customers.

Your hard work will ensure sustained revenue from customers and through understanding of customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs you will identify and convert opportunities to grow revenue within your customer base.

This role is suited to a real self-starter, after a thorough induction you will be responsible for managing your own diary and ensuring you allocate your time wisely, ensuring customer service levels and relationships are sustained as well as delivering on growth opportunities across your customer base of 50-100 customers. You will need to allocate customers based on revenue and growth opportunity into differing service tiers from email, phone, online and in person service to ensure effective use of time and delivery of opportunities.

You need to be happy working independently to achieve your objectives whilst also being a team player who contributes a team environment to deliver shared objectives. Although this is a remote role, you will frequently work with other colleagues from within the team, a cohesive team culture is really important to us.

Your territory will cover the Midlands area and the ideal candidate will be located within 1 hour from Birmingham

3-4 days per week will be spent in the field with customers with 1-2 days working from home. Some overnight travel will be required.

Due to the nature of this role a Disclosure Scotland Check will be required.

Qualifications

Essential skills & Experience

  • Field based account management experience
  • Highly organised approach to time management
  • Good commercial and analytical acumen
  • Able to identify operational issues quickly and plan an effective solution
  • A consultative approach to influence people and outcomes
  • First rate communication, both written and verbal
  • Confidence in leading of meetings and presenting information
  • Adaptable to relate and engage with staff at all levels including C-suite
  • Proven background in training
Desirable (but not essential)

A background in\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Account Management
  • A management role within the Education sector
  • A senior role within the catering industry
  • A nutrition focussed role (Dietician, Nutritionist, SALT etc.)
  • Food Hygiene Training and Qualifications

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working alone and also as part of a team to meet joint objectives. You must be able to work with and most crucially influence people at all levels (Directors, Managers & Kitchen Staff etc.)
