About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the
Charging Team
within Southwark Council's
Personal Budgets and Client Finance Service
. With a strong focus on financial assessments, the team plays a critical role in reviewing financial assessment forms, calculating client contributions, and ensuring residents receive fair and accurate decisions on their eligibility for council-funded care.
As
Client Finance Team Manager
, you'll be responsible for:
Managing a team of seven Client Finance Caseworkers.
Overseeing the processing of new financial assessments and ensuring supporting evidence is collected.
Leading the review of historical cases to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Ensuring assessments are completed fairly, efficiently, and in line with legislation and council policy.
Contributing to Adult Social Care's financial sustainability by ensuring accurate income collection.
About You:
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of financial assessment processes in Adult Social Care and the ability to lead and motivate a busy team. You'll bring:
Experience managing or supervising a finance or assessment-related team.
A clear understanding of personal budgets, charging policies, and relevant legislation.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
