Client Manager

Butler Rose are recruiting for a Client Manager to join a medium sized accountancy practice in the Ashton-under-Lyne area. They support a wide mix of clients across accounts, audit, tax and advisory work, and offer strong career progression within a supportive culture.

Duties

Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a high-quality accounts service.

Prepare and review accounts, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Oversee semi-senior and junior team members, delegating tasks and reviewing work/providing feedback.

Work closely with senior management and maintain clear communication on workflow and deadlines.

Monitor budgets, recoverability and billing across your portfolio to ensure commercial efficiency.

Support the wider development of the practice, with clear progression opportunities into senior leadership roles.

Maintain strong technical knowledge and ensure compliance with professional standards.

What we're looking for

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong background in practice.

Experience managing your own client portfolio.

Strong technical understanding of high-level accounts and consolidations.

Confident in reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.

Ambitious, with a desire to progress into a leadership role.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders.

Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, WIP and billing.
