Client Money Analyst

Job Description

You will be working within the CASS team and be integral in the day to day achievement of objectives, to include day to day preparation of the client money reconciliations, preparing monthly submission of CMAR to FCA and supporting internal and external audits.



What you'll do:



> Preparation of the daily Internal Client Money Reconciliation (ICMR) in line with FCA requirements and arrange appropriate funding, escalating large items as relevant.

> Prepare the Client Money and Asset Return (CMAR) in line with the FCA rules

> Review and produce management information to identify, manage and report CASS and regulatory activities to relevant internal and external parties.

> Supporting Cass audits (internal and external) and compliance monitoring reviews

> Identify changes to current regulatory controls, procedures and reporting that will strengthen internal controls, enhance efficiency, reduce risk and maximize the use of technology.

> Preparing Client Money Acknowledgement letters and maintain accounts database

> Support custody related data requests, S793, SRD II and CSDR returns.

> All SIEL employees are responsible for the identification, assessment and control of risks and risk events. Employees will maintain a good understanding of applicable policies, procedures, risk appetites and tolerance relevant to their function and or business unit, and are expected to consider current and potential risks when making or informing business decisions. Employees are responsible for the accurate and timely escalation and recording of incidents associated to relevant risks. In addition, employees are responsible for completing all required Risk Management training.



What you'll bring to the role:



> Must have a good understanding of the CASS rules (client money, custody and mandates), including but not limited to the, CASS daily client money calculation rules, the CASS reconciliation and other related operational functions

> Advanced technical knowledge of Excel/PowerPoint/Word

> Workiva system knowledge advantageous
