The Business Strategy & Development team is a fully integrated global team of Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs) and Product Managers, created to support and service our investment capabilities across diversified channels and regions. The team\xe2\x80\x99s purpose is to maximize franchise value through best-in-class product positioning, leading as client advocates, and implementing business plans to drive organic growth, profitability, and asset retention.

Your role

This role will support the investment capabilities offered by the London-based Global Multi-Sector team of Invesco Fixed Income. The Global Multi-Sector team manages multi-sector, multi-currency global fixed income solutions for clients worldwide. Its clients include central banks and other official institutions, public and private pension funds and individuals through actively managed funds offered in various jurisdictions.

What we are looking for

Investment Capability Specialism

Be knowledgeable about the investment management and portfolio management processes and the general investment rationale underpinning portfolio strategies. Regularly attend internal investment process meetings including macroeconomic analysis, sector reviews and CIO portfolio reviews

Business Development

Grow and retain business by representing the investment team and key investment strategies to clients

Play a lead role in managing new institutional and sub-advisory business opportunities by working with the distribution teams to educate consultants, investment platform gatekeepers and prospects on a given investment strategy. Includes participation in the RFP/RFI process and addressing ad hoc prospect questions

Participate in finals presentations and due diligence meetings as needed

Develop detailed knowledge of clients\xe2\x80\x99 investments guidelines (including regulatory and capital constraints where relevant) and their portfolios. Be able to interpret reports on performance attribution and portfolio characteristics. Provide exemplary service to existing clients via portfolio updates and insights, in-person meetings (on- and off-site), conference calls and board / investment committee meetings, as needed in place of Portfolio Managers

Understand distribution opportunities in each channel and contribute to product strategy

Thought Leadership

Drive the development of research, presentations and position papers. This includes monitoring key investment and industry trends, working with research and product development and identifying issues and topics that leverage insights into the marketplace. This individual will leverage publications, speaking engagements, public relations and marketing channels to drive key messages into the market. Develop timely and focused materials to capture targeted marketing opportunities such as identification of new market opportunities and underperforming competitors

Present at Invesco roundtables, industry conferences, and PR opportunities

Distribution & Marketing Support

Build strong relationships with the Distribution teams supporting their efforts to execute and effective sales strategy

Support Distribution with training, large conferences, meeting support including client training. Be available as a speaker at Invesco-sponsored and Invesco-attended conferences and seminars including conducting client training

Manage the ongoing internal and external experience for our products and work with Marketing to support product specific content. Work with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s marketing staff to construct the most informative documents (charts/graphs, etc.) to present to clients, consultants and prospects including working on the production of compelling RFPs

Assist Sales with custom proposals for significant business opportunities and participate in client calls/meetings as needed

Liaise with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s various marketing and RFP teams to ensure all data and responses regarding a given product are accurate and appropriate

Assist with quarterly investment commentaries and regulatory commentary content

What you can bring

A substantial level of relevant industry experience

Detailed knowledge of fixed income investment management processes, including risk management

Proficiency with a European languages would be an advantage

Highly articulate & self-motivated

An ability to enhance and build strong client relationships

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
