Job Description

What You'll Be Doing



You'll work closely with our founder and the team to handle the

end-to-end onboarding and compliance setup

for new clients.
Basically: you're the person who makes sure everything is organised, accurate, and nothing slips through the cracks.

Your day-to-day will include:

Client Onboarding



Entering secure client data into our CRM (Bright Manager). Sending proposal emails and welcome packs. Chasing clients when information is missing -- friendly, firm, and organised.

Compliance, AML & Info Gathering



Completing

AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks

using our internal process. Requesting professional clearance from previous accountants (templates provided). Collecting and filing key documents: ID, proof of address, NI numbers, UTRs, etc. Making sure everything is stored correctly and fully compliant.

Platform & Payment Setup



Helping clients get set up on:

Bright Manager GoCardless (Direct Debits) Apron and any other tools we use
Plus:

Scheduling first payments and setting up monthly recurring payments.

HMRC Registrations & Admin



(Training provided if needed)

Registering clients for Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, PAYE, etc. Tracking HMRC letters and entering reference numbers into our system. Requesting and entering Agent Authorisation codes so we can file returns.

Internal Workflow Setup



Updating client records with deadlines from Companies House & HMRC. Adding VAT/PAYE details to our system. Making sure recurring tasks are set up correctly and assigned to the right people.

You won't be doing accounting work

- your job is to make sure the setup, compliance, and admin foundations are rock solid so the accountants can get straight to work.

About You



You'll be a great fit if:

You're organised, thorough, and can't stand loose ends. You enjoy ticking things off and keeping systems clean and accurate. You're confident chasing people for info without sounding like a robot. You're comfortable with online tools (Bright Manager, ClickUp, Monday, GoCardless, Apron, Xero/QuickBooks, etc.). You've worked in admin, operations, PA support, or accountancy practice support. You're looking for a supportive team where communication is actually a thing, not a buzzword. You enjoy team socials around Manchester - The Cube, mini golf, escape rooms... proper fun. You like hybrid working - part office, part home. You're into a relaxed dress vibe (hoodies welcome) and a team that balances professionalism with personality.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
