We are currently looking for a Climate & Sustainability Advisor with 2 to 5 years' of management consulting experience to join our Climate & Sustainability team in our London office (though we are open to considering any of our UK offices).

The Pinsent Masons' Climate & Sustainability team was launched in 2020 and comprises a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, public policy advisors and sustainability consultants.
The Climate & Sustainability Advisor role will sit within the Climate & Sustainability Consulting ("CSC") part of the team. CSC provides sustainability-related management consulting services to clients across Pinsent Masons' sector coverage and international network.

Identifying, cataloguing and assessing a multinational corporate's supply chain sustainability regulatory and contractual requirements to support a compliance action plan.
Conducting a double materiality assessment and independent assurance action plan for a global corporate.
Advising on sustainable investment frameworks and product development in partnership with our fund establishment legal team.
Advising on sustainable finance products together with our banking legal team.
Delivering anti-greenwashing reviews for large financial institutions.
Conducting legal and regulatory horizon scanning and advising clients on implementation plans.
Building a sustainability reporting legal compliance tracker for a private equity firm to monitor its corporate entities and investee companies.
Delivering sustainability implementation support through client secondments.
The Candidate Required
Pinsent Masons is seeking a professional with a strong management consulting (or similar) pedigree with ambitions to support large corporates and financial institutions with the implementation of sustainability-related strategy, risk management and reporting.
The candidate should have at least 2 to 5 years of management consulting (or similar) experience. They should also be able to demonstrate knowledge and application across some, or more, of the following aspects:
Sustainable finance (e.g. green loans/bonds, sustainability-linked finance)
Sustainable finance regulation (e.g. SFDR, SDR)
Sustainability reporting regulation and standards (e.g. CSRD, ISSB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy)
Transition planning
Supply chain sustainability (e.g. CSDDD)
ESG data providers and rating agencies such as: Morningstar/Sustainalytics, ISS, MSCI, Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate:
A track-record of delivering successful client-outcomes
Task prioritisation and project management in a fast moving, agile environment
Commercial acumen and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
Excellent report writing and communication skills
An attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of work
An ability to analyse and interpret complex qualitative and quantitative information, translating to a simple message
