Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of a three-chair dental clinic.
Report weekly sales figures and diary occupancy to the General Manager.
Manage HR for six direct reports (nurses and reception team).
Develop staff to reach their full potential.
Handle patient and internal communications.
Contribute to the Senior Management Team with strategic management.
Manage service delivery in surgeries and reception areas.
Tasks:
Ensure your team warmly welcomes patients, accurately registers them, and efficiently responds to enquiries while delivering excellent customer service.
Foster effective teamwork and communication within the business to maintain high standards.
Ensure patients can access services with accurate diary management, including managing dentists' annual leave and the weekly rota for the reception team.
Ensure treatment plans and costs are issued to patients promptly, adhering to the two-week KPI target.
Work with the team to optimise systems and processes for smooth clinic operations.
Manage and maintain IT resources to protect patient records.
Have comprehensive knowledge of the treatment pricelist and billing cycle, ensuring accounts are settled before appointments.
Support staff performance through appropriate training and development, holding monthly 1:1 meetings and annual appraisals.
Handle patient complaints in accordance with the practice's Complaints Procedure, liaising with the dentist and general manager as needed.
Support the Lead Nurse in liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies, and other organizations, ensuring the lab system is robust and issues are managed without affecting patient treatment.
Understand the various dental specialties and treatments offered at Vermilion to support patients throughout their journey.
Keep HIS paperwork up to date and ensure the practice is always inspection-ready.

Qualifications:
Proven management and supervisory experience in a similar setting.
Dental Nurse Qualification is desired.

Relevant experience in the dental industry, demonstrating knowledge of the field.
Ability to lead teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
