This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop a new role in the Psychiatric Liaison Service across Somerset, based across both Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist who has current membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registration on the BPS Wider Psychological Workforce Register.
The Clinical Associate Psychologist will provide psychological assessment, formulation and brief psychological interventions for service users in our acute hospital sites and be a key member of the multidisciplinary team to support these teams with holding a psychological and trauma-informed perspective.
Although the teams work 24/7, the Clinical Associate Psychologist will be expected to work a Monday to Friday role.
Main duties, tasks & skills required

In conjunction with the clinical supervisor and line manager, to plan and prioritise own workload, research, and individual and group sessions.
Plans and implements psychological interventions empathetically, sensitively and independently, with clients admitted to our acute general hospital.
Collates and evaluates data on the impact of such interventions.
Plans and delivers structured group or individual interventions for clients.
To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups where relevant.
To attend and participate in administrative and service planning meetings as determined by the line manager and clinical supervisor.
Assist in the design and implementation of service development projects within the service as required.
To assist in the coordination and facilitating of training to acute care colleagues.

Evidence of ongoing supervision of therapeutic work
