Overview


All Ears! Independent Hearing Specialists are a patient-focused, progressive and highly regarded provider of diagnostic and rehabilitation Audiology services across private hospitals in Kent and Sussex. Due to continuing growth, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Audiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auditory physiology and anatomy, as well as proficiency in medical terminology. As an Audiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders, providing patients with the best possible care and support.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments to evaluate hearing function in adults and children. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment results. Fit and dispense hearing aids and Bluetooth accessories. Provide counselling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing health. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Maintain and expand knowledge to include tinnitus and balance rehabilitation. Participate in continuing professional development and internal training sessions.

Experience



A degree BSc, MSc or an AuD in Audiology is essential. A minimum of 5 years of clinical working experience with adults and children of all ages. HCPC registration is mandatory. Registration with BAA or AHCS is desirable but not essential. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Our clinics are based in large, modern and sophisticated facilities. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and the latest Audiological equipment. You won't be required to meet sales targets, instead you will have freedom and flexibility to recommend hearing products to those who really need them. The role is more tailored around diagnostic procedures and rehabilitation, and you will be supported by a team of medical and admin professionals. The candidate will not be required to carry-out home visits.

There will be an ample opportunity to learn and practise in vestibular function testing and vestibular rehabilitation, as well as tinnitus rehabilitation and bone-conduction hearing aids.

Job Types: Part-time, 24 hours per week, Permanent. A full-time pro-rata applications will also be considered.
