About the Role

Creffield Medical Centre in Colchester are looking to welcome a motivated clinical coder to their team on a part-time basis for approximately 30 hours per week, working across a minimum of 4 days.

Main duties will include:

Review all incoming correspondence filing the document and entering pertinent information. Carry out required actions via the patient's electronical medical record in accordance with the coding workflow protocol - with attention to QOF and ECF. Highlight clinician action and workflow to appropriate clinician or team as per workflow protocol. Organise the medical record of the patient whom you are coding, to link problem titles. Recognise own knowledge limits and seek advice from clinical or administrative colleagues as appropriate. Carry out administrative related tasks as delegated by clinical lead and practice manager. Undertake any other reasonable tasks as allocated by the practice manager or partners.

About the Candidate

You will have the following skills and experience:

Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is essential. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong time management skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills. Strong IT skills. Excellent organisational abilities.
