Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a meticulous Coding Specialist to join our team. The Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately assigning appropriate filing and coding details and work flowing the documentation to the relevant clinician.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse patient health records to accurately assign appropriate medical codes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Skills:
-Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding procedures of all document types
- Must have experience with SystmOne and/or EMIS Webb / Docman
- Must be able to hit targets of 20-30 documents an hour.
- Good general knowledge of computers and IT.
