Clinical Deputy Manager

Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, United Kingdom

Job Description

Do you feel as though you\'re constantly being pulled from pillar to post in your job, with no real support being offered when everything is getting a bit much?

You know what I\'m on about, you\'re up to your eyeballs in care plans, a nurse has had an argument with a carer and the rotas need doing but low and behold, the manager is cooped away in the office and senior managent don\'t dirty their hands with these \'trivial\' jobs.

What if I were to tell you that in this company, the only thing with a lack of support is the air, which you will notice smells fantastic as soon as you walk in.

The support extends not just to management and it even goes past senior management as one of the owners began their career as a carer working with Autism and learning disabilities and she is constantly patrolling the floor, speaking with residents not because she has to, but because she wants to and she loves the care her company provides.

Did I mention that the services are all absolutely pristine and that whilst the home you would be joining still needs a little bit more TLC, there is a facilities manager currently overseeing their 3rd major renovation to bring the home up to the hotel style quality they have in all their other services.

The Role

You would be a deputy clinical manager, responsible for overseeing the nursing team, keeping the home fully compliant and conducting appraisals for nurses with a great attention to detail so they know how they can be continously improving.

You would be working with the home manager, who is non-clinical but has a stellar reputation for working her administrative skills and the organisation she brings to services and she would focus on these skills she has, allowing you to focus on the clinical aspects of the job.

You will be reporting to the group manager, who is very well received with all residents and families and has a fantastic reputation for working with struggling homes in the past, getting them outstanding and a home she previously worked in saw a major collapse after she left, even though it was loved by the community when she was there, which is a testament to her skills.

Although this is a medium sized provider, the senior team has a fantastic range of skillsets which they use to support services, ranging from backgrounds in Logistics and procurement to backgrounds like pharmaceutical sales and facilities management.

If you think you would be interested in exploring this further, then pop your CV over (Don\'t worry if it isn\'t fully up to date) or give Charley a call on 0161 914 5722 for a confidential chat about the role.
