Report to: Head of Care
Hours: 32 hours per week total with 4 days per week 9am-5pm at Head Office/Care Homes (occasional weekend and night work may be necessary)
Based at our Head Office in Northampton but travel to other sites in the surrounding counties will be required (Nuneaton and Wellingborough).
This position is subject to proven eligibility to work in the UK and a satisfactory ENHANCED DBS in the event of a successful application

We're looking for a Clinical Development Nurse to lead, support and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care for our residents. This opportunity will oversee nursing homes in Warwickshire & Northamptonshire - Northampton Town Centre, Wellingborough and Hartshill.
This role requires strong and effective leadership skills, up-to-date clinical practice, extensive experience of residents/patient care and be extremely confident in managing chronic diseases (diabetes or asthma) & wound dressings.
Working closely with the Head Of Care, Care Home managers and clinical staff in each home to report on clinical risk and be a point of referral for escalated issues from the Group Homes to ensure they are performing to the highest clinical standards. You will manage our clinical leads including their training and be the CL on call and safeguarding lead. Through your in depth reviews, analysis, formulation and implantation of workable strategies you will deliver outstanding quality assurance and clinical governance throughout the group. Additional, when required you will act as interim manager, nurse and CL.
To join us, you'll need to be equipped with a current NMC registration, RN (General) and evidence of continued professional development. An experienced nurse, you've worked in a care home environment, and as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly-qualified nurses. You also have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements.
About you
:
Travel between sites will be required, therefore a full driving licence and car is necessary
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a registered nurse with a proven record of improving quality in the care setting
Experience of working in dementia care preferable
Experience of meeting and exceeding KPIs
Experience in budgetary management
NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management or working towards
Strong communication and leadership skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
Highly organised with a proactive and "solutions focussed" based approach
