Orthopaedic Clinical Fellowship in Limb Reconstruction Surgery

Applications with outstanding surgical, with FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent are invited to apply for the above 12-month post to start 2nd March 2026. The post will be based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford.
Please note, fellowships commence on the first Monday of March.
Candidates on appointment must hold a full registration with the GMC.
The post holder will gain clinical and operative skills under the direct supervision of the consultants on the Limb Reconstruction team. The post holder will conduct clinics, operating lists, ward rounds and assist with clinical management with the consultants and on behalf of the consultants' during their absence.
Within the team there are three operating lists per week and a multidisciplinary infection clinic once per week, involving the limb reconstruction team, infectious disease physicians and plastics surgeons. This is followed by an infection radiology MDT. There are regular orthoplastic combined operating lists which undertake single stage infection surgery.
With adequate experience, the post holder will be encouraged to undertake additional clinics and operating lists independently.
The post holder will also be encouraged to take a leadership role in management and governance in the team with appropriate support.
The post holder will participate within the orthopaedic speciality registrar on-call rota at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre site,

Salary scale:
Nodal Point 5 - local appointment grade code - MT05
With on-call availability/weekend allowance.
