This role within our Spinal Surgery Team is intended for a surgeon working at the equivalent of ST3-5 and will allow the appointed doctor to gain further experience in an orthopaedic setting along with providing an environment to increase publications.This is not an approved HEE training post however training and education provision will be provided with an Educational and Clinical Supervisor.Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled Worker Sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. They will also maintain an up-to-date logbook and perform satisfactory number of workplace-based assessments. They will have access to the daily teaching sessions at Oswestry along with a very well-structured, protected Friday afternoon regional teaching sessions. Apart from the teaching the postholder will receive supervised training in theatre, wards, and outpatient aspects of patient care. The education contract will be monitored by the Educational Supervisor in quarterly progress meetings.In addition, the post holder will be required to as part of a shared roster carry out on call duties including referrals to the Spinal Disorders specialty, coordinating appropriate treatment closely with various consultants.
