About the role



As the Clinical Improvement Manager for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will support the organisation's strategic objectives by helping develop and expand clinical services, leading and managing Clinical Services staff, overseeing specialist information and equipment services, and guiding improvement projects with internal and external partners. It also includes acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead to ensure compliance with Medequip policies and national requirements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Support the Head of Clinical Services in delivering strategic priorities. Provide supervision, advice, and support to clinical staff. Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead, attending boards and managing complex safeguarding cases. Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff. Maintain own professional development through supervision, training, and reflective practice. Stay updated on equipment developments, national guidance, and safety requirements. Support development and review of clinical governance, policies, and prescription criteria. Work collaboratively with health and social care partners to promote best practice and safe service delivery. Lead or support projects to reduce risk, improve practice, and drive efficiency or savings. Oversee development of external training delivered by OTs to ensure consistency and best practice. Contribute to financial reporting on demand, savings, and clinical oversight of equipment use. Work with Procurement to manage TCES Catalogue systems for accurate information and user support. Support clinical service expansion, including new contracts and areas such as Trusted Assessor and discharge support services.

Qualifications and experience required.



Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration. Significant post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years at a senior level. Strong experience in community equipment services and service development. Solid understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Care Act 2014) and MHRA guidance. Specialist knowledge of community equipment, clinical governance, and safeguarding. Full UK driving licence with at least 3 years' driving experience.
