What We're Looking For:

GMC registration and MRCPsych (or equivalent)

Substantial experience in simulation-based and medical education

The main duties of the post-holder will be to work with the Maudsley Learning team to :



Provide strategic clinical leadership , management and oversight for all SBE and experiential leaning activity. Includin g the successful de sign, development and delivery of a range education and training courses and programmes including simulation-based education (SBE) courses.



Provide Q uality A ssurance (QA) oversight for all the service's education al output. Including strategic direction for ML 's education research, evaluation and publication output.



Lead the faculty and simulation team to p rov ide clinical and educational subject matter expertise input to support ML's commercial activity . Working closely with the Director of Operations and Maudsley Enterprise business support teams to develop sales commercial marketing content, sales proposal s and bid tender applications .



An exciting opportunity has arisen to become lead for the Trust's national award-winning simulation training team and become an integral part of senior leadership team of Maudsley Learning.

It would suit an enthusiastic and dynamic speciality grade psychiatrist who is passionate about education and training, and who has experience to understand the incredible value that can be played by immersive, experiential simulation training.



The post-holder will lead our internal faculty in the development and delivery of a variety of mental health focussed, medical, clinical, and multidisciplinary training courses using simulation -based-education (SBE) and experiential learning technologies , including VR360 . The post-holder will also ensure stra tegic alignment of our SBE programme with local and national objectives , including quality assurance oversight of all delivered training.



The post-holder will report to the Director of Operations , working with a multi-disciplinary education team, including medical education fellows , nurse tutors, subject matter experts (SMEs), SBE technicians, technology enhanced learning (TEL) media producers, researchers, mental health actors, and business support teams. The post holder will work with the team to enable our full schedule of commercial ly commissioned SBE and men tal health education programmes to be delivered.



The post holder will be highly organised and able to support the smooth delivery of our SBE training courses while delivering work to the high standards of our award-winning team.
