This is an exciting opportunity to join HEIW on a secondment basis to support the development of Research and Innovation Transformation within Healthcare Science, Nursing, AHP and all health professionals in NHS Wales.
Th is is for a 0.6 whole-time equivalent post offered on a part time, flexible basis to be agreed. This is open to all professionals with NMC or HCPC registration, or who are on accredited healthcare science registers.
The postholder will work alongside the Programme Manager for Healthcare Science and Associate Director for Workforce Transformation, as well as with established HEIW functions. Working as part of a small team and taking a leading role in the Healthcare Science Research and Innovation Group and equivalent networks for Nursing, AHP and other healthcare professionals, the postholder will support developments towards Research and Innovation to support Workforce and Service Transformation.

This is a key role within the HEIW Nursing, Health Professions and Quality Directorate and the HEIW-managed national Healthcare Science Programme. The role encompasses leadership, strategic planning, and management of key aspects of healthcare science transformation and extended to wider NHS healthcare professions. As such the postholder will be required to work in a matrix style management arrangement supporting the Head of Healthcare Science Transformation as well as working alongside colleagues from within the Nurse and Health Professional Education Directorate and other professional leads.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
