An opportunity has risen for a GP Clinical Lead to join the HEIW National Programmes team for two sessions per week to play a key role in the implementation of the inequalities related actions in the Strategic Workforce Plan for Primary Care . Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, the post holder will provide clinical leadership to the delivery of HEIW actions, driving forward an ambitious programme of work



The postholder will be responsible for providing clinical oversight and expert advice in support of the implementation of the inequality's actions of the Strategic Workforce Plan for Primary Care working alongside the Assistant Director for National Programmes who you will be accountable to.



o The postholder will work closely with the Director of GP Postgraduate Education and the Director of Multi-professional Education and Training in Primary Care to ensure that delivery plans are aligned, particularly in respect of areas relating to education and training the multi-professional workforce across primary care



o The postholder will be responsible for building relationships with colleagues across NHS Wales including Health Board Associate Medical Directors; the Strategic Programme for Primary Care and Public Health Colleagues, as well as other strategic partners such as Deep End professional bodies and WG clinical and policy leads



o The postholder will maintain a strategic focus on inequalities in primary care including horizon scanning and understanding best practice



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
