The Clinical Lead Nurse plays a pivotal role working in partnership with the Home Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within our healthcare facility. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and serving as a clinical resource for the team. The Clinical Lead Nurse will utilise their extensive knowledge of anatomy and patient care to enhance the overall health outcomes of our patients while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Duties
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical practices.
Coordinate patient care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and aligned with best practices.
Conduct assessments of patients' health status, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies while maintaining high standards of care.
Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and care efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical advancements, best practices, and relevant legislation.
Completed regulate audits.
Support staff training and development.
Complete robust pre-admission assessments for nursing residents.
Oversea medication administration within the home.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing licence.
Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, fostering collaboration and professional development among staff members.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
