Applications are invited for a Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology, Department of Medicine.
Based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus this post offers an unrivalled opportunity to undertake high-quality research in an outstanding academic and clinical environment. Applicants should be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and have an existing NTN/NTN(A) in Cardiology.
If a number is not held, candidates will need to be clinically benchmark to be able to take up the post. Clinical benchmarking can be achieved through application for specialty training within the national recruitment window where the minimal appointable score must be achieved.
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that their clinical application is submitted within the appropriate recruitment round to ensure that you are benchmarked before the date that the post needs to commence.
You are required to hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of your application and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract of service with the NHS LETB (specialist trainee/LETB). Candidates who have not submitted their PhD/MD at the time of application will not be considered.
Previous experience in the immune-inflammatory mechanisms of cardiovascular disease is required.
This is a fixed-term appointment for a maximum of 4 years or until you obtain CCT (subject to any extension that you apply for and be granted by NIHR, which can be for a maximum of 24 months).
