To lead, manage and optimise the clinical operations of the facility, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care in a private healthcare environment while driving operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and business performance. A key leadership role: you'll set the tone for clinical excellence, staff performance, and customer (patient) experience.
Key Responsibilities
? Lead the day-to-day clinical operations of the facility/department: staffing, scheduling, workflow, patient throughput, liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
? Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development of clinical staff (nurses, allied health professionals, support staff).
? Develop, implement and maintain clinical policies, procedures and protocols, ensuring they reflect best practice and regulatory requirements.
? Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and internal governance (clinical governance) frameworks.
? Manage and monitor budgets, expenditure, cost control and resource utilisation (clinical supplies, equipment, staffing) to deliver efficient, sustainable service delivery.
? Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning: service development, growth initiatives, business case proposals for new clinical services or expansions.
? Analyse clinical performance metrics, patient outcomes, satisfaction data, operational KPIs; identify improvement opportunities and lead change initiatives to raise quality and efficiency.
? Maintain strong patient focus: ensure excellent patient experience, handle patient complaints or incidents, work with risk and quality teams to embed continuous improvement.
? Liaise with external stakeholders: regulatory bodies, insurance or private payers (if applicable), vendors/suppliers of clinical services, third-party clinics or partners.
? Ensure proper management of clinical equipment, environment of care, safety, infection control and maintenance of documentation and records (EHR, patient files).
? Act as a clinical leadership role model, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, ambition and high performance.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
? Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Science, Healthcare Management, or equivalent. (A postgraduate qualification or MSc/MHA is highly desirable.)
? Minimum of [e.g., 5-8] years' experience in a clinical leadership/management role within a healthcare setting (private healthcare preferred).
? Proven track record managing clinical operations, staff teams, budgets, compliance and performance improvement.
? Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks, accreditation standards and quality governance in the private sector.
