Achieve a defined set of health and social care performance targets, in accordance with contractual requirements and the performance framework for NHSI, the Care Quality Commission, and other relevant statutory and professional bodies. In conjunction with the Nursing Directorate, the post holder will advise Senior Managers and Clinical Directors on professional and practice issues. Under the direction of the Nursing Directorate, the post holder will lead on the provision of professional advice to colleagues at all levels across the Trust in relation to specific clinical matters and practice Promote, through personal actions, support for the Trusts key policies on Equality and Diversity, and use of the recovery-orientated approach for people with mental health needs. To work closely with professional colleagues, corporate services and partner agencies to lead the continuous improvement services.

To create the environment to support colleagues to implement change and deliver improvement in clinical services, challenging where necessary to continuously improve working methods, systems and processes. To have clinical oversight for the use of their resources ie beds/ caseloads and to ensure that the whole Trust resources are used effectively. Active liaison and leadership with the ACCC. Provide professional judgement and expert advice in relation to clinical assessments and care planning, especially for patients with complex needs.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, using patient satisfaction feedback and reflection on practice To ensure that care is delivered in a holistic way that involves service users and carers, to ensure the patients physical, mental and social needs are taken into consideration, and staff have the skills to deliver the care required. Through the line management of the Ward/Team managers, to ensure that they are providing efficient planning to deliver high quality and safe and effective care. Encourage systems that assure accurate, defensible, patient focussed clinical documentation and support their implementation.
