Job Description

Provide clinical support, expert care and clinical leadership to support patients with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer at ASPH receiving SACT.



To provide expert, comprehensive knowledge and specialist advice, information and psychological support to patients with a diagnosis of a colorectal cancer receiving treatment.



Positively impact the experience of patients and carers by providing high standards of clinical practice and care as appropriate across the trust.



Deliver specialist oncology nurse led clinics assessing fitness for treatment, delivering pre chemotherapy education. Able to support PSFU surveillance.



To promote high standards of specialist care for patients with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer, ensuring a quality experience.



To provide specialist support and care to patients admitted with complications of their cancer treatment.



To work autonomously to support patients with colorectal cancer facilitating necessary investigations and providing clinical engagement and support for patients receiving SACT.



Deliver HNA and treatment summary clinics for all patients.



To be a resource both within the trust and the community for clinical advice and information.



With the Lead Cancer Nurse contribute to clinical governance within the trust for cancer patients.



To deliver care in line with National and Alliance guidance and requirements
