About the role



We are seeking passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our new consultant-led multidisciplinary Chronic Pain service. This is a rare opportunity to help contribute an innovative, psychologically informed service focused on transforming the lives of people living with persistent pain.

As an early team member, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and contribute to developing clinical pathways, patient education, and group interventions. You'll work alongside a consultant in chronic pain, psychologists, physiotherapists and other MDT colleagues to provide holistic, integrated care.

This role is primarily located in Gloucester, but there will be opportunities to work remotely. You will report to the Lead Consultant and work closely with the Clinical Director and Executive Chair.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver in-person and remote assessments, follow-ups and interventions for patients with chronic pain Deliver parts of our multidisciplinary group pain management programmes Support the setup and smooth running of interventional pain clinics Contribute to pathway development, webinars, and patient-facing content Collaborate with colleagues across the health system to ensure joined-up care Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement

Experience and Qualifications



Essential:



Significant experience as a nurse specialist in chronic pain or long-term conditions Degree in Nursing Registered Nurse with the NMC Experience working in psychologically informed models of care (e.g. ACT, CBT) Strong MDT working experience and group facilitation skills

Desirable:



Postgraduate training in pain management (Masters-level modules or equivalent) Familiarity with digital tools and remote care delivery Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
