We have an exciting opportunity to join an established Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) service focusing on patients who experience out of hospital cardiac arrest and the families of patients who have had a sudden cardiac death (SCD).
The successful candidate would work with the established regional group, clinicians and pathologists across the sector to improve associated cardiovascular pathways. Along with helping to coordinate the clinical ICC services, the project would also involve working with coroners, pathologists and intensive care units where patients with aborted sudden cardiac death are cared for.
The job is a 9-month fixed term post based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals but the role will involve cross-site work at King's College Hospital and other Network sites. The role will be to help coordinate effective pathways within the sector by working with the coronial system, national charities and the clinicians involved (cardiac and intensive care teams, genetic consultants, nurses and counsellors) with sudden cardiac death.
This is a 9 month contract as part of a national scheme and secondment could be considered for those already working withing the trust. It is hope that this role will be made permanent in the future.
