Come and join the Central u14 Team as Clinical Nurse Specialist!



In our service we support young people (aged 0-14 years) who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.



Additionally, we are making a number of positive changes to the service; seeing waiting-lists drop and taking opportunities to think innovatively about our practice.

We're really excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work in our diverse multi-disciplinary team (MDT). If successful you will be a leader within the team; providing support and inspiring your staff. You will also provide skilled clinical interventions to 0-14 year-olds; making a real difference to the lives of young people in Norfolk.

Main duties of the job




The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to provide specialist clinical interventions to our young people, their families and loved ones. It also involves delivery of leadership activities within the team.



If appointed, you will:


Deliver clinical interventions. Work as a non-medical prescriber.

Offer support, supervision and informal training to your colleagues.

Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.

Undertake other clinical tasks within the team.

Deputise for the Community Team Manager on occasion.


You will have a nursing qualification, trained as a non-medical prescriber, and will have developed their skills through extensive experience in mental health.

Essential criteria




RMN or equivalent professional qualification Non-Medical Independent Prescriber Degree Level Qualification or equivalent or equivalent level

Desirable criteria




Study experience at masters level, study at that level or clinical experience. #

Able to demonstrate sound clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health disorders and their treatments. #
