Job Description

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) is a major adult cardiac unit. We perform over 2000 cardiac surgical procedures per annum, routinely working through six operating theatres, specialising in complex aortic surgery, adult congenital surgery and minimally invasive valve surgery.



We require an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Perfusion Scientist to join our team at LHCH. We are looking to recruit at Band 7 or Band 8a, depending upon the applicant's level of experience.



The applicant will provide Clinical Perfusion and associated specialist services as part of a team of Clinical Perfusionists and must hold full registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists GB&I (CCPS) .



Only applicants with current full registration with CCPS will be considered for the post.

You will provide a full range of adult cardiopulmonary bypass and associated therapies to our patients, covering a 24/7 rota with core working hours 8am-6pm Mon-Fri. We would be willing to consider applications from individuals looking to work either full-time or part-time hours, but a commitment to the on call out of hours service is essential.
