We are currently recruiting for a full time Clinical Pharmacist working in our well established Pharmacy team working in an outstanding private hospital. You will actively support the Pharmacy Manager in delivering a safe, effective, and quality Pharmacy service, whilst demonstrating clinical leadership.

About the role

------------------

Take active steps to ensure an excellent level of pharmaceutical care is provided to all patients being treated at Benenden Hospital. Assume role of Responsible Pharmacist and deputise for the Pharmacy Manager when required. Lead on antimicrobial stewardship for the Pharmacy team, providing representation on the Infection Control Committee. Lead on development and update of Trust PGDs, and the associated training package. Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy service provision to a surgical inpatient population, ensuring high-quality medicines management practices are embedded within the provision of safe patient care. Development and update of key Pharmacy policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures. Lead on audit programmes, data collection and associated presentations, as appropriate, as part of the continual quality improvement agenda of the Pharmacy department. Supervise the clinical workload of the junior pharmacist and pharmacy technicians Assist the Pharmacy Manager with elements of line managerial support to the junior pharmacist.

Skills and experience required

Degree in Pharmacy Registration with GPhC as a Pharmacist At least 4 years of post-registration experience Evidence of CPD Experience of working within a healthcare team Previous experience of working in a busy dispensary environment Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential Previous experience of supervising and training other staff is essential Experience and skills in using computer programs and harnessing technology to enhance the Pharmacy service Previous experience of developing and undertaking audits, audit report writing and presentation of results Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues Evidence of good customer service skills and awareness Download Role Profile
