Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.Due to the growth and expansion of our teams we are now seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our existing team of homecare professionals for our in house Pharmacy.Our Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a fully compliant Clinical Homecare Pharmacy Service to patients, Trusts and the Pharmaceutical industry through regulatory compliance, clinical governance, people management and Operational excellence.Our Pharmacies work Monday - Friday between 08:00 - 18:00 hrs. and this role will require you to work 40 hours per week within this time range however you must be flexible and prepared to cover hours to meet the operational and service needs some of which may be of an urgent medical nature. The role will also include travel to other sites whenThis position will play a key role in the business and be a vital part in ensuring we succeed in our ambitious growth and development targets.To apply for the position it is essential that you have a degree level Pharmacy qualification as well as GPhC Registration, You should have excellent knowledge and be able to demonstrate knowledge of Pharmacy, Medicines and other regulations that have impact on our Pharmacy Operations ideally gained within the Homecare industry, in addition to this you will also need knowledge and experience of Good Distribution Practice and Pharmacovigilance.The successful candidate would be required to be a role model for the teams working within the Pharmacy as well as a key ambassador of the business externally, so you will be required to demonstrate great people skills, be a team builder & influencer, effective communication skills, pay remarkable attention to detail and have excellent analytical skills in order to support the team to deliver care that helps improve the service provided to end users based upon empathy, respect and dignity.We offer a wide range of benefits including: company car/allowance, 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays) and company pension scheme.Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Pharmacy teams in line with business policies and HR rules and requirements.
  • Drive the team to complete daily dispensing activity within required timelines.
  • Ensure that the team have accurate job descriptions and development objectives to support continuous development, and that company and departmental training requirements are being met.
  • Measure success and quality through agreed KPIs and drive a continuous improvement culture within the operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible records.
  • Uphold the clinical governance standards within Pharmacy, ensuring that all patient safety incidents and near misses are logged, investigated, and reported in line with appropriate guidelines. Keep up-to-date with all pharmacy Regulations and implement new requirements within required timescales.
  • Ensure that the Leighton Buzzard pharmacy operation is in compliance with all applicable legislation and Standards.
  • Ensure effective complaint and incident management, completing root cause analysis and CAPAs to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Lead on reviewing and maintaining pharmacy operations SOPs to ensure procedural currency and compliance.
  • Adherence to medication temperature requirements and the associated elements of Good Distribution Practices guidance.
  • Fully engage with the business internal audit programme and facilitate external audits from our customers and partners.
  • Responsible for leading the Pharmacovigilance (PV) function and ensuring that the pharmacy operation across all sites meets internal PV standards, to deliver on pharma client requirements.
  • Support new business implementation ensuring all clinical and dispensing operations requirements are met and act as a key interface with the pharma industry and NHS customers.
  • Lead the stock management function incorporating the Leighton Buzzard pharmacy stock control team.
  • Work with other internal stakeholders to ensure that the pharmacy operation is fully compliant with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Degree level Pharmacy qualification.
  • GPhC Registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Pharmacy, Medicines, and other Regulations that impact on the Pharmacy operations.
  • Good Distribution Practice, Pharmacovigilance requirements and the Homecare industry commercial environment.
  • Required to use professional knowledge to make difficult decisions
  • Must be able to influence others, both internally and externally
  • Leadership skills
