Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Theatre Team as a Clinical Practice Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate theatre practitioner who is committed to supporting and developing clinical staff in a fast-paced, high-equity environment.



You will plat a pivotal role in the education, mentorship, and clinical development of both existing and new staff, including nurses, nursing associates, ODP's and clinical support workers.



You must be passionate about teaching and education and have a strong desire to support the development of others and yourself. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.



You must be able to inspire confidence and promote a positive learning environment for the theatre team.



Plan, deliver and evaluate training sessions for the team to support clinical skills, competencies and continuous professional development. Ensure that training materials are up to date and in line with evidence based guidelines and best practices. Keep all training materials up to date.



Work with the Practice Development Nurse (PDN) to coordinate and deliver induction programmes for staff who are starting in the department, including Nurses, Nursing Associates, ODP's and Clinical Support Workers. Ensure that all new starters are equip with the necessary policies and guidelines for the department.



Assess and monitor staff to ensure they are achieving and maintaining competencies. Act as a mentor to staff, support and encourage reflective practice.



Work with the Trusts Education Team and Universities to ensure a positive learning environment for students.



Promote best practice and high standards of care, lead by example and model and promote safe, high quality peri-operative care.



Work with the PDN and Team Leaders to create a yearly Training Needs Analysis to identify staff's individual and the teams training needs.



Participate in clinical audits and support clinical governance and quality improvements.
