Responsibilities of this job role:
Contribution to care provision of patients by providing consultation to the multidisciplinary team and ongoing support to create and implement care and treatment plans.
Supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by any assistant psychologists, doctoral trainee clinical psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.
Undertaking psychological assessment, including neuropsychological assessment where appropriate.
Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of local policies and procedures. To exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the ward to which the post relates.
Responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups adjusting and refining psychological formulations and drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
Registered and accredited with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency environment.
Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
Relevant Qualifications
Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
