Are you a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist looking for a new opportunity?



We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the team at Cotswold House, Oxford. The service has recently opened a new day-patient service to compliment our inpatient offering, and we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the new therapeutic group programme, as well as engaging in individual psychological work. The post-holder will work alongside the ward clinical psychologist and consultant clinical psychologist in promoting psychological thinking and formulation throughout the service, as well as contributing to service evaluation and development projects.

The main duties of the role will be assessment and formulation, and to deliver high quality NICE concordant psychological treatment (both on a 1:1 and in group format) to patients and their carers/families who are referred to Cotswold House Oxford.



The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:



To provide specialist assessments, including CBT assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care.



To plan and implement formal CBT treatment and/or management of a client's mental health problems, based upon the client's problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy.



To implement appropriate CBT interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
