Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical research and demonstrate expertise in patient care, particularly with children and individuals with disabilities. This role involves working closely with clients, including those on the autism spectrum, to provide therapeutic support and develop tailored treatment plans that promote mental health and well-being.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for clients, focusing on their individual needs. Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on clinical findings and client goals. Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilising evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals, to ensure holistic care for clients. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements. Engage in clinical research to contribute to the advancement of psychological practices and therapies. Offer support and guidance to families of clients, helping them navigate challenges associated with autism and other disabilities. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychology.

Qualifications



A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification is required. Proven experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders. Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills. Familiarity with special education frameworks and strategies for supporting individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Experience in clinical research is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.
