The Oxford Crisis and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) are delighted to invite applications for the role of Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. The Oxford CRHTT is an expanding team which remains in an exciting phase of transformation and development. This role would offer you the opportunity to provide meaningful psychological interventions for people in crisis or transitioning from a ward to their home environment. We want to do something different that works for our service users, and the service recognises that the skills of Psychologists are crucial to this.



We really want to hear from you if you are an HCPC registered Psychologist wanting to develop your clinical and consultation skills. You would be joining a small supportive team of psychologists within the team who are active contributors to the growing guidance and evidence base for psychologically informed crisis care. You would also have the support of the wider acute psychology service within OHFT, as well as access to a variety of developmental networks across the Trust and nationally. Supervision and management would be provided by the Principal Clinical Psychologist already embedded within the CRHTT. CPD opportunities are available to help you consolidate your skills in a focused and supported way.



Contribute to the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist psychology service to adults with severe and/or complex mental health disorders served by the Oxfordshire Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT).



Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to adults with severe and/or complex mental health needs.



Offer advice, consultation and supervision on clients' psychological care to non-psychological colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.



Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.



Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.



The successful candidate would have smaller caseloads and be able to work intensively in people's homes to support their recovery.



There are opportunities to work both directly and indirectly through supporting reflective practice, consultation, training and supervision of others including Assistant and Trainee Psychologists.
