As a Clinical Psychologist within the Adult Diagnostic Service at Dorset HealthCare you will be joining a team transforming lives through expert assessment and collaborative working.
You will be solely accountable for the direct delivery of psychological services to neurodivergent clients, providing highly specialised assessment and formulation, using a range of assessment materials.
Engaging clients, their families and carers, you will be a strong empathic communicator using highly complex and sensitive information where there are often barriers to understanding and acceptance.
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, committed to equity, inclusion, and continuous learning you will provide specialised advice to other professionals, undertaking clinically relevant research, audit evaluation and supervision.
This is a part time position of 18.75 hrs negotiable up to 30 hours per week
Flexible working across Monday - Friday, requirement to include Tuesdays.
Main duties of the job
Able to plan and prioritise patient workload whilst coordinating with existing teams and other agencies.
Primarily based from our Poole office, driving across the county, you will be working at different locations as needed, completing online or in person assessments and undertaking regular clinics with the flexibility of some remote working.
Conducthigh quality NICE compliant diagnostic assessments and provide psychological formulations based on a range of theoretical perspectives and evidence-based interventions contributing to diagnostic decision making.
