JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:

Clinical Neuropsychologist Community Neurorehabilitation Location: Home working and community-based, Norwich and East Anglia Hours: Based on clients individual funding Reports to: Totus Neurorehabilitation Ltd Directors Accountable to: Totus Neurorehabilitation Ltd Directors Job Summary The post holder will have their working base at home and will provide neuropsychological assessment and neurorehabilitation services to clients with acquired and traumatic brain injury and neurological conditions, in their homes or at designated clinic rooms. They will work in an interservice context across systems including the patient and family, case managers, legal services, allied health professionals within and external to Totus, and the NHS and statutory services. The post holder will be supported by the Totus Neurorehabilitation Ltd Directors and supervised by a senior Clinical Neuropsychologist. Key ResponsibilitiesKnowledge and Training Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.



HCPC registered as a Practitioner Psychologist. Eligible for BPS Register of Neuropsychologists or working towards registration. Ongoing CPD and supervision to maintain specialist skills adhering to the mandatory requirements set out by the HCPC. Clinical Duties Independently manage a caseload of complex neurological rehabilitation clients.



Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments using appropriate psychometric tools. Deliver neuropsychological rehabilitation to clients in the community. Interpret complex clinical data for diagnosis and prognosis. Provide detailed written reports and feedback to clients, families, and referrers.



Liaise with case managers, legal teams, insurers, and external agencies. Participate in MDT meetings and collaborative care planning. Deliver sensitive information e.g. prognosis, with compassion.



Maintain and store confidential clinical data securely in line with GDPR and ICO. Use outcome measures to evaluate and guide intervention. Complete risk assessments and ensure appropriate safety measures are in place. Provide education to clients, family members and care teams on the clients needs and strategies.



Write comprehensive and detailed reports to summarise needs and treatment progress. Write comprehensive and detailed goal plans alongside the MDT. Communication Skills Communicate complex, sensitive and distressing information clearly in verbal and written form. Deliver psychologically informed feedback to families and professionals.



High-level IT literacy e.g., MS Office, clinical software, cloud platforms. Multidisciplinary Working Collaborate with physiotherapists, OTs, SLTs, support workers, case managers and Solicitors. Contribute to MDT assessments and goal planning. Attend MDT meetings when required.



Work with both internal and external health, social care, and legal professionals. Participate in in-house MDT training and development. Supervision, Support and Training Receive regular clinical supervision. Engage in reflective practice and peer learning.



Support knowledge-sharing within Totus and externally where appropriate. Provide education and advice to clients, carers, and other team members. Service Development and Clinical Governance Adhere to BPS, HCPC and Totus professional standards and codes. Stay current with evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation.



Identify and report risks and safeguarding concerns appropriately. Ensure all practice complies with GDPR and ICO guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC and RCOT standards. Participate in data collection for quality improvement.



Notify the Totus Directors on the requirement and development of clinical protocols and pathways. Follow all clinical policies including safeguarding, risk, and infection control policies. Key Relationships Clients and families/carers Totus Directors and Clinical Supervisors Case Managers and Legal Representatives MDT members e.g. SLTs, PTs, OTs, Support Workers External statutory and voluntary sector professionals Working Conditions The post holder will work primarily from home, but will be required to visit patients homes to conduct assessment and interventions.



Clinic rooms may also be utilised as appropriate. The post holder will be required to drive for up to 1.5 hours at a time, and often up to 4 hours in a day. There is a frequent requirement for VDU and computer use, of varying times depending on the demands on the service. The post holder is required to concentrate intensely for prolonged periods during individual assessment and family interviews, sometimes with challenging and emotional individuals on a one-to-one basis.



There may be some patients requiring assessment who are confused and agitated, potentially aggressive.
