35 hours per week. Monday to Friday. 09:00 - 17:00.




The purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of studies that involve volunteers testing personal care and cosmetic products. This includes helping to ensure smooth scheduling, great volunteer experiences, and clear record-keeping.


This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong eye for detail, and can follow clear processes.

Assist with a variety of studies, helping to assess skincare and personal care products in a safe and supportive environment. Welcome, guide, and support volunteers throughout their visits. Carry out standard procedures and record information clearly. Learn on the job and grow your understanding of our work through training and experience. Prepare the necessary paperwork and digital files for each volunteer taking part in a study. Record volunteer data and observations accurately on our systems. Handle telephone and email enquiries from volunteers and clients politely and professionally. Contact volunteers to invite them to studies and arrange appointments. Explain study procedures clearly to participants and ensure they feel informed and comfortable. Keep your team and manager updated if any issues arise during a study. Work closely with study managers and project leads to ensure volunteers are well looked after and studies run smoothly. Assist your team leader and manager to keep everything organised and running to schedule. Responsible for the testing, preparation, storage, and shipping of research samples to include: Helping to prepare and label products for use in studies. Ensuring test areas are tidy, well-stocked, and ready for volunteer visits. Guiding volunteers through their appointments and recording their feedback and observations. Taking simple measurements (e.g. skin hydration) using devices - full training will be provided. Ensuring test products are handled, stored, and disposed of appropriately. Assist with volunteer screening and eligibility checks. Monitor stock levels of supplies and alert your manager when items need to be restocked. Help prepare study data for reporting and archiving.


Qualifications



Basic understanding of customer service principles and best practices. IT literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) & Adobe. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and shifting deadlines. Experience working with cross-functional teams. SCQF Level 4 or above in English. Strong attention to detail to identify errors and refine documents for clarity and precision. Attention to Detail and good organisation. Compliance & Accuracy Problem-Solving Effective communication skills both written and oral. Can work in a team but also independently. Good time management and can prioritise.
