Clinical Research Fellow In Hepatology

Job Description


Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in research and liver disease? Do you have experience of working in Hepatology? Do you want to further your career by undertaking a period of research in one of the UK\'s leading research intensive Universities?

You will support and undertake research in novel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging to identify risks of drug induced liver disease as part of a large European collaborative research group in the TRISTAN project. Your research will focus on proof-of-concept imaging studies to identify the potential utility of MR imaging in the development of new drugs and in chronic biliary diseases, including primary biliary cholangitis. You will lead your own studies in this area, including studies in healthy volunteers, and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole.

This is an exciting opportunity if you are a Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in Hepatology or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration.
