About you:




As a Clinical Research Fellow, you will be facilitating clinical studies and supporting our undergraduate medical students, within the business, working alongside the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) & Associate Medical Director.


The ideal candidate, but not essential, will have a medical background, with excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to work with minimum supervision and the ability to prioritise their own workload. Excellent team working and communication skills are essential.

Key Outputs:



You will liaise with 3rd parties to set up, coordinate and manage clinical studies working alongside the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) & Associate Medical Director. Provide support to the SpaMedica Research group, including the support of approved internal audits, coordinating with the SpaMedica data team and the SpaMedica surgeons. You will play a key role in supporting our undergraduate medical students, providing educational support including the marking of essays. Travel will be required, as necessary, a planned and cost-effective approach will be expected. Required to keep abreast of current knowledge / legislation and developments within Ophthalmology, research and Good Clinical Practice. Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding principles, data protection, your role and responsibilities, in line with SpaMedica policies and procedures Maintain professional boundaries in work Work within organisational policies, procedures and guidance Be committed to demonstrating the organisations values and behaviours in work



Qualifications & Experience:



Minimum requirement of Fellow ST1-3 Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit, clinical risk management, evidence-based practice, patient safety, GDPR, Good Clinical Practice and clinical quality improvement initiatives Capacity to use logical/lateral thinking to solve problems/make decisions, indicating an analytical/scientific approach Minimum requirement of Fellow ST1-3 Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit, clinical risk management, evidence-based practice, patient safety, GDPR, Good Clinical Practice and clinical quality improvement initiatives Capacity to use logical/lateral thinking to solve problems/make decisions, indicating an analytical/scientific approach Demonstrates clarity in written/spoken communication & capacity to adapt language as appropriate to the situation up to date and fit to practise safely and is aware of own training needs.
